I don't think I missed the point. Someone wants to pull DID out and make it an issue because ... you know ... DID means past. But so does the "ed" on the end of the rest of the 5. They all mean past.
What that has to do with the price of the tea in china is NOTHING. But it clearly shows that the point about pulling DID out of the text as if it were a key to understanding something is just spin. And we are in a NO SPIN ZONE!! :)
