This morning on the way to the gym I was thinking about what it would be like for me if I believed in faith by works. Well, since none of us believe that, that was an odd thing to think about. Try salvation by grace, through both faith and works, as two sides of the same coin. As cooperation with God's grace in order to bring about a person actually worthy of heaven, instead of a sinner merely "acquitted" of the charges.

You missed my point. If I'm secure in my salvation, then I desire to do the Lord's work. If I fear that I can lose my salvation then my works are being done just to hang on to it. It goes back to , do you work because you have to, or because you want to?
