Do you have a rational answer for why an about-to-be-married woman would take this announcement in a non-natural conception way?

Any woman who's never had sex and is told they are going to have a baby is going to wonder "How can this be".

Have I mentioned "I know not a man" (present tense)?

Perhaps you did not understand that "going to" is a statement about the future.

Ask your wife. If an angel told her two days before your wedding that she was going to become pregnant, would she wonder how this was going to happen?

Re 49719

The word of God is only found in the word of God, and the sword (weapon)of the Holy Spirit, is the word, and with out that word, we have no defense, and no full suit of armor.

Another one comes out of the woodwork. How sad to think that the Book is the complete Word of God.

Even sadder to think that inside the Book is the only place the Eternal Word may be found.

I don't think the gospel account specifies how long Mary and Joseph had been betrothed. It makes a difference if they were planning on being married the next week, versus another year later.
