Who, according to the Pope, "guided" the bullet?

Mary. Which has to be understood in a Catholic context. Mary has no will in Heaven that is different from that of God's. And she has no power in Heaven that is not granted her to use by God.

Has the Pope ever thanked God for doing so?

What do you think? The question is insulting on its face. As if you believe the Pope never thanks God for anything. Please.

Let me rephrase that. Has the Pope ever publicly thanked God, as he did Mary, for "guiding" the bullet?

This is a serious question. I really don't know the answer.
