Doris and I were horrified when, in 1996, we visited Rome for the first time and took a guided tour of the Vatican. We had not been inside the building for more than 10 minutes when we were startled to see a life-sized statue of Diana of the Ephesians on public display.

Yes, but so what? If there is such a statue there, why is it there, what context is it in and what does it mean?

What context? Can you think of one? The church is a museum now? Nevermind. I'm afraid to hear a response to that question.

They only said they were at the Vatican. It is not just one big Church, you know. There are museums and apartments and offices and stuff.

Like I said, what context was this alleged statue in? Was it a collection of art, maybe?

And souvenir shops. And souvenir shops. and souvenir shops.....................and souvenir shops. All this in 100 acres.
