Correct. Being in bondage to the law is a curse. In other words those who figure their efforts to keep the law will save them are cursed. Of course we know not one jot or tittle of the law will pass until heaven and earth pass away.

Christianity is at liberty from the Law since the law could not make those holy who were under it. Christians are children of the promise "their lawless deads I will remember no more".

Of course you wouldn't know what a lawless deed is if it werent for the law. So the next time a police man stops you tell him "I'm not under the law". See what happens. :-)

And, if the psalms are any indication, David didn't see the Law that way. Which tells me that he kept the Law out of love for God, not out of trying to be saved by his own efforts. As someone who sinned, he understood grace and forgiveness.
