It is messianic but seed has many different meanings as we are seeing father has many different meanings. Some here are questioning whether Joseph was Jesus's father when that's what Mary calls him. Father has many meanings and so does seed. Here seed simply means human. Otherwise, what is the serpents seed? I guarantee that no sperm from that serpent has become any demons.
