I spent most of the day today trying to break in a new computer. When we powered it up for the first time, I made sure I was there so that it would "imprint" and be familiar with me and easier to handle. I carefully fed it new software and files through the network hookup from its mama computer. Tomorrow, I'm going to hook up the printer and see if its ready to go on its own! ;o)
I've had the same computer at work for about four years. When I first got it, it was top of the line. Now, it would be less than average for all of our workstations. For the past year I've been thinking about upgrading, but I had so much software and so many files on the old one, the prospect of moving all the files and reinstalling all the software was daunting. I finally decided to bite the bullet and do it.
We set a record high today, 82º! It is 10:30 at night, and it is still in the 70s. The forecast low for Wednesday night is 26º, and a forecast high of 35º with a mix of rain and snow showers for Thursday. April in Wisconsin!
