The Neverending Story
An ongoing debate on Scripture, Tradition, History and Interpretation.
Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue. - John Adams |

OK Fine, I'll bite
This is saying that Jesus will not break the New Covenant. As with the Old Covenant however, man may still break it.

You mean what the serpent offered Eve?

Nope. Like the Abrahamic and New Covenants.

I'm doing fine, thanks (except this Mac mouse is short at least one button and a scroll wheel). Annoying, isn't it. You're not using the hockey puck model are you? I got tired of the one button mouse and bought a Kensington StudioMouse ... 3 buttons and a scroll pad. Try one, I think you'll like it.

The urination comment appears on his profile page currently. This from the man who joked about "A Worldwide Chain of Torquemada Hotels" on his profile page?
Some might find that more disturbing than a little bathroom humor.

You should know not to ask anyone who's been disagreeing with me for three days what doctrine I believe. Why, because you won't be able to give your filtered spin?
Should I look to the Mormons for accurate information on Calvinism?

Thanks for the reminder to restore my personal page.
My response was to JH who indicated that DKCs humor had changed since "conversion" I merely noted the urination record reference was current.
Thanks for playing. Please read more carefully next round.

This is saying that Jesus will not break the New Covenant. As with the Old Covenant however, man may still break it.
Let's look at the passage again ... Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he, who hath begun a good work in you, will perfect it unto the day of Christ Jesus.
Looks to me like the write (Paul) is saying that, in regard to one's salvation, ... God has begun a good work in you that HE will complete until the day of Jesus Christ.
In other words, we don't have to worry about finishing this work, for God has said that He will.
Let me go on to say that, ... that God has ordained works for us to perform as saved individuals (Ephesians 2:10), and, we, surely should perform this will of God, primarily, for love of God, but also, in anticipation of heavenly reward, and to avoid God's chastening.

Hey, you there:) How are things going, I hope better. I finally got to Ch. 13. One point that stood out for me was v. 27. ....rulers did not know Jesus, because, "nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day. Because they did not know scripture, they comdemned their own Savior. We need to know and scripture. Becky

But if we don't, God will do it for us and we'll still slide into Heaven. What a philosophy.

Re 64951
You are attempting to misrepresent my words. I did not state works and fruit are the same in outward appearance, I stated, "The effects of both may be the same in outward appearance."
Fine, then how do we tell the difference between works and fruit, given that the effects of their appearances may be the same? If it is only the "affects" that are similar, then what about the "outward appearances" differs and how do we tell?

Why don't you just deal with the person on an intellectual level, instead of digging up dirt?
