God is clear on the issue, that there is no communion between Light and darkness(2 Corinthians 6:14-15). Therefore, that alleged "capacity" is granted by men and not God.

Preach on brother.

Actually he seems deflated. :-)

The manner in which you are presenting these cases doesn't seem to be calling for justice but for vengance. There is a difference. The death penalty is in place to remove a menace to society from that society. It is not in place to seek vengance.

Temptation is not equal to "making" someone commit wickedness.

No, it isn't. I never said it was. What I said was it can have effects on the will.

You rush to judge, and desire to see simply in black and white. And you call me "Dark age" and "superstituous."

LOL

So Dave, are you trying to tell us that those pedophile priest were demon possessed and possessed(inhabited) by the devil?

Nah. Sounds like a dark age superstition. What I said was that people do struggle with demons.

I guess you don't believe this.

Like I said, it is clear to me that NCs never struggle with habitual sin, even serious sin. Once you say "I do" to Jesus, life is all peaches and cream. (Unless, of course, Satan throws you off your motorbike.) Plus you get to judge everyone else and find them "reprobate."

What a fun club. Hey Mack, where's that nearest Baptist congregation again?

But you tell us that those pedophile priest were being controlled and made to commit habitual heinous wickedness and had no choice in the matter.

You continually put words in my mouth that I did not say. That's caled bearing false witness. Please stop.

Obviously, you don't believe God will judge us based on our culpability, our circumstances, will have mercy on us. You think God will simply see everything in black and white, like you do.

I agree with the Scripture. What do you think I think? It has always clearly been my position that such men should be removed from the priesthood. Ask anyone.

Yep, I can vouch for this.

Step 1 - Remove priest from priesthood
Step 2 - Remove "manhood" from priest

Best wishes on your recovery. Nearly 20 years ago and a decade or so before I finally believed on Him, the Lord first got my attention with a motorcycle mishap that landed me in a Canadian hospital for 2 days with a concussion. On that third day of the sightseeing trip, He made sure I was wearing my long pants, jean jacket, steel-toed boots, and helmet. After leaving the hospital and seeing how those and many other details surrounding the incident "lined up" to keep me from serious harm (or death), I found myself looking up at the stars, questioning His purpose for me.

Not long after the four-day ride home -- more evidence of His kindness -- I was back to my "normal self" (100% dead, spiritually).

Surely the Lord can use your situation to bring glory to Himself. He is good!

Either those pedophile priests were in control or they weren't.

Ultimately everyone is responsible for the choices they make. The only question is whether God will have mercy on the failures we have.

It is clear that you have decided He will not. I'll wait and see what He says.

The point is that you you view anyone who struggles with a serious sin as by definition a "reprobate."

you can certainly judge such a person to be someone who should be avoided. Both for earthly and spiritual reasons.

But to by your own fiat declare that these men have no faith whatsoever is way, way, way beyond your pay grade.

Some may be evil wicked men. Others may be very weak, but sincere. We have no way of knowing who has a real faith and who does not.

I know Becky and Mack tell me that all the time. The only one whose faith we can know for sure is our own.

You're entire argument rests on your infallible knowledge that these priests have no faith whatsoever.

"What I said was it can have effects on the will."

So, those demons were controlling the will of the pedophile priests.

Reggie, where are you?

In what world does having "effects" equal having "control?" You change my words dishonestly. I have asked you once to cease and desist. This is twice.
