Listen to the Lord and do it with your head. God forbid that Mom should lay aside the commandment of God to hold the vain traditions of men. If what goes into a man's mouth can't defile him, then it certainly can't purify him either. Trust in Him who set you apart before you were born, and has called you through his grace. Let anyone who preaches a contrary gospel be anathema.
