Perhaps God set the gears of evolution in motion and is letting it run it's course? I have nothing against this theory except that it is just another way of saying "I don't know how it all started or where it all came from".

I do not take the Bible literaly. (Please don't lecture me on this...I have heard enough of that to last me a lifetime. I feel secure in my belief, just as I am sure you are with yours.) So, I have to come to my own terms on what the Bible says and means. I am not forcing my ideas on anyone, nor do I claim that they are correct for everyone. I am comfortable with them, and they may change as I grow in my faith.
And saying you have "nothing against this theory except" is a contradiction isn't it?
