You know you're in the Twilight Zone of Catholicism when:
- A German priest, with full approval of the diocese, holds a "queer Mass" publicly broadcast and not a peep or rebuke comes from the Vatican in correction. Meanwhile the attack on the Traditional Latin Mass and all things traditional get the hobnailed boot!
- The priest wears a rainbow flag stole.
- The paschal candle celebrates not Christ the King but LGBTQ pride.
- The lights in the church, glorify, not God, but the LGBTQ lifestyle.
German public broadcaster ZDF has for decades presented Sunday "divine services": Evangelical and Catholic. This past Sunday, for the first time, the Catholic "mass" was a "Queer Divine Service." We take the opportunity to remind all that Traditionis custodes, the document that attempted to abolish the Traditional Rite of the Latin Church, had the illegitimate audacity of stating: "The liturgical books promulgated by Saint Paul VI and Saint John Paul II, in conformity with the decrees of Vatican Council II, are the only expression of the lex orandi of the Roman Rite."*

* Yes, we know, the English translation says "unique," but that is not the real intended meaning, which is truly "only," as we have stated here since the first day. You decide if all things accepted under the broad umbrella of the rite of Paul VI can logically be considered any kind of unified "expression" of anything.
This is a good time to read or reread Archbishop Lefebvre's book, Open Letter to Confused Catholics. How, faithful Catholics wonder, can this be happening? How can the Vicar of Christ, the pope, not condemn this abomination of desolation? That church needs to be reconsecrated and the priest suspended. St. Paul warned about the Eucharist becoming a source of condemnation. All those participating in this faux sacrament are in serious danger. It isn't enough to claim to be Catholic. The proof is in the practice. The devil loves mock sacraments and this comes close to the black Mass that inverts and distorts Christ's sacrament of love.
Lest you think this was just one renegade priest acting without approval, let me clear up that idea. It took months of preparation to prepare for the broadcast and the "mass" was promoted on the diocesan website. [See here]
If you have the stomach for it the video of the service is here. Watching the entrance procession and the closing "hymn" with the band at the center of the sanctuary grieved my heart. Please join me in a rosary of reparation today. When the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass becomes a celebration of perversion, we should mourn and do penance.
May God have mercy on those who advance a faux church with faux sacraments and desecrate the Body and Blood of the Lord to become, not a source of salvation, but an instrument of condemnation. Pray for all the poor souls who attended that sacrileges "mass."
