What is the real meaning of the mysterious holiday of Sukkot? What does it have to do with the End of Days and the Final Redemption? Why does the prophet Zechariah describe God as “touching down” on the Mount of Olives? And what does it all have to do with current events in Israel and the recent hostage deal? Find out in this class as we uncover the true meaning of Sukkot.
Plus: What is the secret of the number 91? Where does the notion of the “Seven Shepherds of Israel” come from? And what role do the Shepherds play in the End of Days?
Interesting to note that the reading from the Prophets on the first day of Sukkot is Zechariah 14, and the reading for the Sabbath of Sukkot is Ezekiel 38.
And note that everyone left from all the nations that came against Jerusalem will be forced to observe Sukkot per Zechariah 14:16.
The holiday of Rosh HaShanah (Yom HaZikaron) is about the past. Yom Kippur is about the present. Sukkot is about the future and the redemption of Israel. All of the Haftarot (readings of the Prophets) is all about the future.
This future event shown in Revelation Chapter 7 looks very much (to me at least) as occurring on the Feast of Tabernacles:
“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.” - Revelation 7:9-10
Gentiles will keep the Feast of Tabernacles:
“And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.” - Zechariah 14:16
(Interesting to note that the reading from the Prophets on the first day of Sukkot is Zechariah 14, and the reading for the Sabbath of Sukkot is Ezekiel 38)
WOW 😲😳😲
I think the nations present themselves to Lord Jesus on that day because it’s His earthly birthday. They can bring Him gifts and send a delegation.
Inquiring minds want to know: What birthday gift does one bring to a Risen Savior?
Yourself.
ALL Biblical feels are about YESHUA.
Feasts.
Again and again and again and......................................
His? If "Secrets of Sukkot" is any hint, a Kabalah's gift card!

I’m sure He would love a song, or maybe a particular dish— something handmade. Maybe a work of art. Things a child would bring to his dad. When you are a dad, you love whatever your kids bring you. It doesn’t really matter. It’s what you put into it. We hang childhood drawings on our fridges and are so proud, even if it’s a scribble. If you love someone, anything is valuable they touch.
I believe myself that Jesus was born on September 27, 2 BC on the Feast of Tabernacles. If correct it would present some interesting correlations to other events.
“A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.” - Ecclesiastes 7:1-4
EXACTLY RIGHT.
Maybe my tent gift card idea at post 12 didn't resonate with anyone, but think of the important father and son (or daughter) shopping outing to Cabela's -- it would become an immediate priority. He'd obviously need to drop whatever he was doing. You get the idea. Truly a thoughtful gift, Cabela's being his favorite store! Bonding in the hunting clothing department! (Come to think of it, tis the season.)
Fathers have been deemed unnecessary and expendable in this day and age, so there's even a literal orange man bad er dad scenario in all of that.
I’m sure He would love a song... It’s what you put into it.
MR's post reminded me of the Christmas song that anyone who's anyone loves to hate: the Little Drummer Boy.
It's really all I've got, so it's one of my favorites!
