PALM BEACH, Florida (LifeSiteNews) — Bishop Joseph Strickland was joined by 100 priests in prayer during a Catholic event at U.S. President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.
On Wednesday, March 19, the Solemnity of St. Joseph, Strickland led 100 priests in prayer during the second annual “Catholic Prayer for America” gala at Mar-a-Lago.
“It was a wonderful evening which brought 100 priests to the house of the President in a historic gathering of prayer led by Bishop Joseph Strickland,” LifeSiteNews editor-in-chief John-Henry Westen said.
“I learned sadly that the Florida bishops forbade their priests from attending the event, but many canceled priests were present,” he continued.

“General Flynn and his wife were also given an award for their heroic service to faith and country,” he added.
We can’t figure out who the Bishops are that tried to stop this. It’s even being called out as BS in some of the replies on the X threads.
I would love to see the words that the Florida Bishops used in ordering their priest not to attend.
It would have to be great word smithing to cover up blatant partisanship.
“Being that President Trump is a racist meany for deporting violent thugs without due judicial review you shall not pray for him.”
I believe Fr. Rick Windell, who was consecrated late to the priesthood when he was in his mid-forties or 50s, is one of the attendees. He had a near death experience while on life support for 3 hours after a construction accident. His experience brought him back to the Church and led him to Meddjugorje in 1990 from which a number of other visions and amazing coincidences occurred. He is well spoke, very conservativ, and is not afraid to mix conservative politics in his sermons online.
He met Jesus in his NDE and experience the full gamut of life review, deep contrition, and followed Jesus’ directive to become a priest despite being a successful business owner.
Well, the Catholic church has its own internal problems that it refuses (for personal reasons) to fix. Perhaps the bishops in question are afraid of the eventual release of Epstein/Diddy lists.
Fr. Windell sounds like an interesting man. I should look him up.
