1 Cor 6:19-20 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
1 Cor 3:17 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
So yes, it can be if you have read 1 Corinthians.
Scripture says clearly that not all who say “Lord, Lord”, will be saved.
This is not just a “I accept” and it is done. By sinning grievously we should that we haven’t grown in God’s grace, but have diminished it - it is not about God reversing His gift - His gift is freely given, but He gives us the free will to freely reject this gift.
“He gives us the free will to freely reject this gift.”
Yep.
“This is not just a ‘I accept’ and it is done.”
Yes. There’s a difference between saying, “I accept”, with your mouth, and with your heart.
You are correct.
The only unforgivable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, (also known as the sin unto death), is specified in several passages of the Synoptic Gospels, including Mark 3:28–29, Matthew 12:31–32, and Luke 12:10, as well as other New Testament passages including Hebrews 6:4–6, Hebrews 10:26–31, and 1 John 5:16.
Essentially, rejecting the Holy Spirit is the only sin one cannot be forgiven of.
That is the sign unto eternal death (which is separation from God for all eternity)
If I have to explain that to you, I greatly hope it never occurs with any of your friends and family. It is murder. It devastates everyone who loved the person for the rest of their lives. It devastates the children for the next 50 to 80 years.
There is hope in Jesus.
On that we agree.
