I’m not going to dive too deeply into the discussion this time, since nursery school is in session, given the boorish and foolish comments of many. Just to comment you’re off by a few hundred years: Christ Poncrator is an icon from a monastery in the Sinai, 6th century, where Jesus is depicted just as he appears in the shroud, including the eyes being of different sizes…. Because one of his eyes as shown in the shroud is swollen from his being beaten.
The history is fascinating.
The shroud is authentic, clearly miraculous.
