It's trashy, derivative, and tacky anyhow. We're not talking about much artistic merit here. Coarse lines, deliberate disproportion of figures (especially eyes and hands), very imitative and predictable - pretending to imitate Byzantine icons but missing the whole point. In other words, far too typical of the "modern" or "contemporary" Catholic ethos.
