Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father Who Art in Heaven,
Hallowed Be Your Name!
For You Alone are Worthy of Praise and Worship,
For You Alone are Holy,
Righteous and Just,
And Glorious in Majesty!
You Alone Are The One True God.
Perfect in All Your Ways
And yet, You give us permission
To call You "Abba Father"!

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Names and Titles of God (The Word of God) Revelation 19:13

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

In the opening line of John's Gospel, Jesus is called the Logos, meaning "The WORD". As we discovered in yesterday's meditation, this means so much more than just a word that we say. It has meaning too deep to fathom, but the closest we can get is the English word "Logo" which is, of course, derived from this Greek Name for Jesus.

We looked at different "logos' in History and our experience, and saw how a logo identifies, advertises, and epitomizes the essence of the image a company wants to project. Here is an amusing video about the hidden meanings in various logos.

We don't know much about the Evangelist, except that He didn't travel too far from Jerusalem because he promised to take care of Jesus's Mother after the Ascension. A few trips here and there, but not big journeys are recorded in the Book of Acts.

Later, though, he runs afoul of the Powers-That-Be and ends up in exile on the Island of Patmos.

It is on this Island that John, (and I DO believe it was the same John who wrote the Gospel. Some scholars dispute this, but I have no doubt) had a Vision of the Future. God instructed John to write it down, and we can read it today. It's called The Book of Revelation. The Greek word for "revelation" is "apocalypse", and so sometimes the Book is called that. Whatever it is called, it is incredibly graphic.

As graphic as the Book is, it is impossible to paint a convincing picture of the events described. I know. I've tried! Even with the aid of computers, the "graphics" end up being insufferably inadequate compared to the Vision.

The climax of the Vision is when Jesus appears, on a White Horse, followed by all His Saints (Believers) who have died and gone to be with Him. His eyes are like Fire, His Robe is dipped in Blood, and He has a sword coming from his mouth. The Vision says "His Name is The Word of God", echoing and completing the First Declaration in the Gospel of John "In The Beginning Was The WORD."

The Apostle John both opens and closes his Testimony with this Name.

Jesus is the WORD, The Beginning and The End, The Alpha and the Omega, The Aleph-Tav, The First and The Last.

And Everything In Between.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)
