Never said Gutenberg published the King James Bible.

But thank God for those whose lives made it possible...

William Tyndale (c. 1494–1536) is best known for working tirelessly to get the English Bible into the hands of the common people. He was strongly opposed by the Church of England as they considered the English Bible to be a threat to their power.

One of the bishops of the church argued with Tyndale, saying that it would be better for the people to have the pope’s law than God’s law. To this comment, Tyndale famously replied, “I defy the pope and his laws! If God spares my life, in a few years a plow boy shall know more of the Scriptures than you do.”

For such views, Tyndale was eventually strangled and burned at the stake as a heretic. Yet, his work carried on. It has been estimated that more than 75% of the 1611 translation of the King James Bible was Tyndale’s work. This translation made it into the hands of many plow boys.

If you have an English Bible, you can be thankful for Tyndale’s sacrifice.

I’m not a Catholic.

But, historically speaking, no one organization has clothed more naked, fed more hungry, sheltered more homeless and provided more for the needs of the downtrodden and infirm than the Catholic Church.

It isn’t even close and this is inarguable.

The Vatican Bank
The role of the Vatican Bank is perhaps the most controversial and little-understood part of the Vatican’s finances. Also known as the Institute for the Works of Religion, the Vatican Bank is a private bank located in Vatican City founded by Pope Pius XII in 1942.
7
Over the decades, the bank has been at the center of numerous scandals and accusations of mismanagement, money laundering, and fraud.

In February 2018, the Vatican Bank announced it was charging its former bank president and his lawyer of embezzling $50 million euros through fraudulent real estate and money laundering schemes.
8
In its 2018 annual report (released May 2019), the Vatican Bank said it was making advances in reducing money laundering and increasing financial transparency. The bank reported a profit of $19.8 million in 2018, down from its $36 million profit of 2017. The bank’s assets—valued at about $5.6 billion at the end of 2018—consisted of investments and deposits from almost 15,000 account holders. These account holders included Catholic clergy, Vatican employees, and Catholic religious orders around the world.

In 2022, Pope Francis issued a rescript, clarifying that the Vatican bank, the Institute for Works of Religion (IOR), is exclusively responsible for managing the financial assets of the Holy See and its connected institutions. This directive, issued on August 23, enforced the transfer of all financial assets held outside of the IOR to the Vatican bank within 30 days of Sept. 1, 2022.

"the magic cookie"

The bread and wine were central to the Last Supper. When the Romans accused the early Christians of "cannibalism," it was based on their understanding of Christians "eating the body" of the Lord. The New Testament contains admonitions not to partake of the bread and wine "unworthily," even with the suggestion that doing so can bring harm to oneself. It seems that right from the start, the Eucharist was viewed as more than a symbolic memorial.

One book that Luther didn’t like was the Letter of James because it denounces so-called “faith” without works.

Protestants do not claim the canon of Scripture is infallible. That’s a Catholic thing. Protestants believe their canon is correct and that each book is the infallible word of God. Like Athanasius we believe that the books in the Apocrypha are not canonical but are helpful works.

And there are several Books YOUR roman catholicism also denounce. Let’s begin with Ephesians shall we....

Ephesians 2:7-9
King James Version

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Are you perhaps boasting of YOUR works?

_______________

Care to offer up proof that Luther “denounced” the Book of James rather than explain the verse?

Galatians is the book that the Catholic Church should fear. I don’t understand how any Catholic can read it without questioning the RCC. Actually I guess that applies to Romans and Ephesians too.

Ephesians 2:8&9

Quick question, can you name the Apostle unto the Gentiles and the message hidden through the ages, yet revealed to him on his way to Damascus?

This particular Apostle was given to him the message of Grace to reveal to the Church.

But I guess that denounces roman catholicism.

1 Corinthians 3:11-13
King James Version
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.

valid observation!

How would they explain the following...

Galatians 1:8-10
King James Version
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Another Book for them to study would be Hebrews.

The Documentary highlights reformers such as Huss, Wycliff, Tyndale, Luther and others who were martyred by the roman catholic church for bringing the Truth to light.

For the record: Huss and Tyndale were executed by the Catholic church for their assertion of heresy. Luther and Wycliff died natural deaths.

This is a plagiarized video, And that’s not the title of the video.
The title of this video is a lamp in the dark.
It is.
Not a two part series, it is a three part series.
