I am not the one who rejects scripture. It is Catholic teaching that misinterprets it for its own benefit.
Yes. This is true. As a catholic, I can readily admit that we pick and choose what scripture we prefer to align with our doctrines and incorporate the practices we got from pagan religions, but sanctified through incense, and holy water and declarations. Indeed, it is for our benefit.
And that's OK because we are the original church and have all authority to do whatever we think best.
Obviously, prots cannot do that. This allows us to override scripture - for instance, by incorporating a more sensitive gay priesthood into our clergy.
