Fr. Groeschel said the enemy Hates Latin. For one thing it is a language that cannot be altered. No one uses it for conversation so the words cannot morph. No propaganda

I think it was Pope John XXIII who gave Latin a new word back in the 1960s. It was “helicopterum,” and the occasion was on the Vatican buying a helicopter as a “new” method of transportation for His Holiness. I’m not joking, hopefully some other folks remember this.

Why not Mass in Aramaic in honor of Christ as He spoke?

The Latin missal was forced by Pope Pius V in 1570. If universality was the criteria, why not force English now?
