[Catholic Caucus] “Queering” the Catholic Church

An article published in The Stream last March featured this headline: “Pope Francis Must Choose: LGBTQ Ideology or Children.” A few days before “Pride Month” began, Francis announced his choice, quietly but blatantly.

When the Vatican celebrated World Children’s Day in late May this year — a holiday it created — a male drag performer danced in front of children, who even saw the performer’s posterior deliberately exposed to them.

The performer, Carmine De Rosa, said on social media that the Vatican invited him to perform and knew what his act contained: “I would like to point out, reading the comments, that I was WANTED at this event FOR THE TYPE OF SHOW I CARRY ON STAGE and for professionalism…But I simply defend MY ART.” (Capitals in original)

De Rosa’s appearance not only exposes Pope Francis’s public condemnation of gender ideology — which he called “ideological colonization”— as a lie; it shows he supports it.

Francis shows as much or more confusion as Biden. While not exhibiting Biden's physical lapses, his public pronouncements are erratic and utterly confusing to the laity. Maybe what I am calling "erratic" is simply the result of completely bungled efforts to lie.

Francis has opened an excommunication proceeding against Archbishop Vigano - accusing him of fomenting "schism" - whereas Vigano has primarily been criticizing the pope's incoherent and contradictory statements on LGBTQ+ issues. One week the pope is blessing same-sex unions, the next he is criticizing "faggotry" in the seminaries. And - as this article points out - on one hand he criticizes the LGBTQ+ ideology and then turns around and invites a drag performer to do his lewd act in front of children. And on and on.

Homosexuals or “queers” are welcome in the church. But they’re expected to follow Biblical moral law as much as they can. And it is especially inappropriate for anybody in the church to advocate to the contrary

If Costco admits you as a member, it’s expected you won’t be selling Amazon prime or Sam’s Club memberships in the aisles. And it would be especially inappropriate to crap on the floor.

Just saying.

Maybe Lucy did not want the Third Secret of Fatima to be released because of Vatican II and the prophesy of the destruction of the Church. Maybe Parts of the Third Secret have not been released yet and never will be released because it prophesies the collapse of the Church which all started with Vatican II. Maybe the next Pope will reverse Vatican II and resurrect the Traditional Church. 18000 priests have left the Ministry and all over the World Churches and Schools are closing at an alarming rate. When the money runs out the Churches and Schools close. Support FSSP and XXPX...........

"as much as they can." What a cop out!

That's no different than Bergoglio's heretical Amoris Laetitia:

... it is can no longer simply be said that all those in any “irregular” situation are living in a state of mortal sin and are deprived of sanctifying grace. More is involved here than mere ignorance of the rule. A subject may know full well the rule, yet have great difficulty in understanding “its inherent values”, or be in a concrete situation which does not allow him or her to act differently and decide otherwise without further sin. As the Synod Fathers put it, “factors may exist which limit the ability to make a decision”.

In Frankenchurch, the Ten Commandments have become the Ten Suggestions.

Respectfully, the church recognizes people are people, not infallible. If we were perfect then the moral instruction (and such as confession/ atonement, forgiveness) would all be unnecessary.

The old saying “Is the Pope Catholic?” used to be sarcasm. It’s not anymore, as this pope is certainly not.
Francis is an embarrassment, and I can’t believe traditional Catholics have put up with this so long.
He’s destroying the Church, same as Obama is destroying our country.
It’s time for rational people to put a stop to both.

Agreed, but name me one Commandment that ends with "the best that you can".

I didn’t read or hear anything about confession/atonement in Fiducia Supplicans regarding the blessing of sodomite couples.

Did you?

Hi
Understood

Nevertheless a very great proportion of scripture relates his people are not perfect, how we sometimes err or stray off the divine path of instruction (including the 10), and how our Creator still forgives us if we sincerely atone and get back on the right path. Also, that His Mercy is without bounds. King David comes to mind (adultery, murder, etc) and yet he went down in history as a person beloved of god (indeed that is what david means in Hebrew, one who is beloved) and while god provided certain just measured he even left David with a covenant that David’s house would continue and bring blessings to the world wtc
Many additional examples
The point isn’t to preach any interpretation or theology Just to point out that our creator understands the human condition and forgives those who sincerely repent / atone for their errors. We agdin and He is still there for you , ready to receive/ observe your sincere repentance / atonement so long as you’re honestly resolved to, for lack of a more flowery phrase, “try again.”

The theological embellishments are legion and they include divergences. But absent His instructions and the availability of His forgiveness, He would not be the one true god that loves you. He’d be sone kind of man- made construct lacking any realistic understanding of His creation and lacking His love and mercy

Imho
Best,
