The best arguments against the dispensationl view of the 70th week:

1. Nowhere in the Bible does God state that he has commissioned a 3rd Temple or will do so in the future. A phony temple cannot be defiled.

2. After the Messiah’s crucifixion, God no longer dwells in temples but rather, in the hearts of his saints. If he were to commission a third temple — or even allow a phony one to be built — he would be dissing his son, the Messiah.

Isaiah 66 reveals the “tribulation temple”. It is a cursed temple in God’s eyes. Just because it’s cursed and defiled, doesn’t preclude it from being defiled further, correct?

I can imagine that some hard-core, non Jesus believing Jews, would rebuild the temple and attempt to restart sacrifices.

And it would be worth nothing, except to amplify that their attempts do not work, they do not bring Holiness or forgiveness.

Then those Jews who recognize this will see the answer is the real Jesus, the rest will double down on their temple and sacrifices.

This is my imagination, that’s all.
