“Sutton” - I think that name is slightly misspelled. There should be only As for vowels.

The whole performance was a masterclass in how to debase and politicize the pulpit, demonstrating that while progressives love to cry foul when conservatives speak their beliefs, they have no problem commandeering the pulpit for their own partisan purposes. Sutton’s spectacle wasn’t just blasphemous—it was a farce, a tragicomic display of rank cringe.

Honestly, this is an accurate description of pretty much all "black" churches, esp. in major cities. Or are we not supposed to notice that the Democrats break every so-called "separation of church and state" rule every election cycle?

1Ti 6:5 -

useless wranglings

of men of corrupt minds

and destitute of the truth,

who suppose that godliness

is a means of gain.

From such withdraw yourself.

This debased blog you continue to post from does a dis-service to any serious study of scripture. Sometimes the criticism this blog levels does have an actual basis, but their approach is so off that it invalidates their intent.

Isaiah 54:17 was a specific promise the people of Jerusalem that anything the enemy devise would not prosper because ultimately God is in control. That same truth applies to Christians. In the end God is in control, and in the end Good will prevail over evil.

The use of anointing oil is pretty common in my experience for special circumstances. A pastor or missionary being ordained, special prayers for healing, etc. I’m not saying it is used in your church but it is common in churches I have attended.

In this blogs desire to trash someone they don’t like, they mock truths that are normal experiences for many believers. There is nothing wrong with any of the things they mock.
