Simply put, Rome is not the final authority of the Christian faith, and most of the powers it claims is backed up by nothing.

That's an interesting take, considering sola Scriptura was not the initial topic of discussion.

Also, if not sola Scriptura, then there must be a viable alternative. From your prior comments, it appears you believe Rome has the answers.
