Well researched and explained, but I feel like it’s treading very close to the “if you just prayed more, you wouldn’t have cancer” line ...
My Dad suffered from horrendous Rheumatoid Arthritis, and he passed WAY too young from complications when it moved into his lungs — he was prayed over & annointed, we all prayed, he prayed and asked God to take this away. He believed and brought several to believe, and was a church leader, Bible Study leader, etc.
But he still suffered and died, and I refuse to believe it was because he lacked faith in what God could do for him (on this Earth, not in Heaven).

I’m hoping I have the wrong end of the stick here ...

First, I want to say I’m so sorry to hear about your dad. Super sad when we lose a parent.

Although none of us know the answer to a lot of the ‘whys’ in life I can tell you unequivocally that it is 100% certain God wants us well. He doesn’t waver on that point, ever, and in fact already provided it.

Jesus Christ died on the Cross for our sins, salvation AND healing. If we believe in Jesus then we have already received healing. To know that is to have a deeper understanding of what is already ours, as opposed to asking God for something He’s given us (past tense). Through our faith it is released from our spirit into our flesh. We can be healed from other’s faith, not just our own, but the deep understanding of what is already ours is where life springs forth.

Just as a general comment, not specifically about your dad or anyone else per se, God wants us to be singular minded, not double minded, in seeking the power and healing from what He’s given us. We ALL have the propensity to believe God plus X will restore us or that God’s not capable on His own so we need to seek a doctor’s advice because we really don’t think God can act outside of that.

I recommend reading and meditating on ALL of the Scriptures that pertain to healing so they soak in and nothing else can contradict the Word in your heart, like a doctor’s report, or comment from a friend/family member, etc.

Psalm 107:20 He sent His Word and healed them and delivered them from their destruction.

I just thought I’d add something else that really changed how I think of healing and the deeper things of the Spirit. As believers, we were given THEE measure of faith; so we have faith the size of a mustard seed and that’s enough. Your father did not need more ‘faith’. But, faith is the noun and belief is the verb. It is belief that is often missing from the equation; we must WALK in the Truth of His Word. So if God said your healed, and you are, then you walk healed, you act healed, you believe healed. This is where a lot of the conflict comes from is that we have faith in God and His Word but we really don’t believe it. You can have faith that what He said is true but it’s really known as ‘mental assent’ if you declare the word is true but then you listen to your symptoms, you listen to your doctor, you walk in unbelief that the healing is done because it has not manifested in the flesh. That is sense knowledge which is at war with revelation knowledge. The ONLY truth is the Word of God and everything else is a lie.

I hope this makes sense to you
