My dad gave me a copy of that book on why the rapture would be in 1988. He was a godly man that IMHO got off the rails a bit into the charismatic movement in the later years of his life. Although that is what brought him to Christ - the tent revival meetings a long time ago.
But - he was ready to meet the Lord. And he did! In 1988!!
