[Hebrews 11:6]

Jesus recognizes that He has accomplished everything predicted in the Scriptures. He announces, "It is finished", and then Jesus the Christ dies.
To make sure He is dead, a soldier pierces Jesus' side with his lance, and now men can do no more to Emmanuel.
