most of the Apostles writing were written between 50 and 150 years after Christ death.
= = =
If these Apostles were contemporaries of Christ, that would make these writers at least 80 to 180 years old.
Unless someone else wrote their stuff?
Or what am I missing?
Some one else did write this stuff. When a preacher speaks about the scripture, he would say according to the Apostles, lets get this straight, according to means some one else is retelling the story, not the original story teller. According to Mathew Mark, Luke and John, someone else is telling the story. Those four guys did not write anything. The whole new testement is nothing more than a story book retold what has been handed down over the years.
“Unless someone else wrote their stuff?”
The Whole Jesus thing was a Roman Psi-Op
Jesus was a true believer and in the end shocked he was forsaken by his father Augustus
And emperor Constantine, 300 years after the death of Christ decided what would be recorded as the new testement, and there were many other stories from other people that was not allowed in this book of the church.
Let’s fast forward now a couple hundred years, The catholic Church is now the church of the Roman Empire and most of Europe. Now you have 2 oppositions to Christianity. Jews and Muslims. Now we have the Inquisition, and you know what that was all about.
Yes, and John. Interesting that the others pretty much hid out it looks like
The authors forgot to turn the women who found the empty tomb into men. Admiral Levine and Sam Britton apparently fooled the Gospel writers.
Yes, the Politico folks of the first centuries.
You got that right, Fake news has been around for a while.
“Those four guys did not write anything.”
And you know this how?
That is such a historically ignorant claim that I doubt you have investigated at all why it is. Clearly false.
They were dead, they told stories and handed them down.Tell me and name one of Jesus’s apostles that actually wrote anything down.
It is an historical fact, Emperor Constantine founded the Roman Catholic Church.
Have you heard of a guy named Saul of Tarsus, aka “Paul”? He was an apostle of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Looks like he wrote a few things.
Paul was not one of the Twelve Apostles, and did not know Jesus during his lifetime. According to the Acts, Paul lived as a Pharisee and participated in the persecution of early disciples of Jesus,
We have no primary sources. All we have is a bunch of stories written down from oral traditions shared by others.
That's all we got. If you believe in it or not, that's called faith. But there's no direct proof.
Paul was not one of the original 12 disciples, but was, indeed, an apostle.
Are those names in the books of the Bible that were not published originally?
Exactly, Most of the bible is nothing more than a story book. I am not saying it is true or not true, but it is nothing more than a story book. And I am not saying it is bad or anything like that. Many people need something to believe in for their daily lives. Why is it jews do not believe in Hell. The Old Testament does not preach it, that was invented by the catholic Church, domination by fear, nothing but politics.
Well, Eastforker, judging between what you assert in this post and in your number 15, methinks that you are finding your “information” in the same place as the Reverend Ashley is finding hers.
Call me unimpressed.
