From the sixties many of the seminaries were captured by homosexual priests who got themselves placed as headmen in them. They would reject young men who weren’t of their own sort.-Spirit of Vatican ll and all that. Once they get to be in charge of an org they skew recruitment and acceptance of postulants. JPll started to lever some of them out of their positions but it didn’t go far enough.
Purely anecdotal observation here. I am under the impression that this infection (East SF Bay Area) is around the major churches and those close to college campuses, and generally skips the smaller churches and possibly also the priories.
That sort of admissions/hiring practice isn’t limited to seminaries.
