"As a cheerleader at St. Alphonsus High School, before each game, we gathered in a circle and prayed a 'Memorare.' We prayed to win. Back then, most Catholics sent their children to Catholic schools, so there were enough schools in suburban Detroit to have Class A, B, C and D divisions. That meant that before every sporting event, dueling Catholic prayers went up for the win. Did the victors just pray better?"

God has ordained who will win the Super Bowl before the creation of the earth, so I guess he does care.
Does he care if you watch it? Depends on if you are idoling your time away on it.
As a Catholic school kid, I can remember praying for a good game in which we played well with no one hurt, and asking that God favor us with victory, if that should please Him. It was not really a prayer for victory, more a humble request.
Of course He cares.
He has bet heavily.
“Well, He put $15 on the Chiefs.”
No way! He already knows they will lose.
