We sin.
Then confession’s coin rolls in.
Out bounces sweet can of forgiveness.
We drink it all down with barely a frown
for myrrh-mingled wine’s sour business.
Thirst quenched
brief
with quick-feigned repentance,
unmindful of looming death sentence,
soon
sin-licking lips
forgetting in sips,
rejecting with gall
upon hyssop.
These are all very moving, Dan. Thank you.
You are very welcome, John.
Did you write that?
Very convicting.
May I share this with my church for Lent?
Would you please send me your name so I can give credit where credit is due?
