The original
Jerome Biblical Commentary, published in the early 1968, though it had liberal critical scholarship bias, was a classic where you could pretty much read around the stupid parts. The New (second edition) published in 1990 was pretty bad with the liberal bias being pervasive (I have both editions, one bought and one gifted).
From what I'm seeing of number 3, I wouldn't use it to line my cat box.
