Frankie’s hypocrisy is just to over the top for me. I’ve never once heard him demand his home nation of Argentina, who has some of the strictest laws on this side of the globe against illegal immigration, open their borders.
There is a perverse logic at work for Pope Francis. As a Marxist of the Gamscian sort, he regards Third World nations and their peoples as victims of the developed nations of the West. Since Argentina is in that category, it and others like it get a pass on almost anything they do. And if mass immigration can be a weapon to level the West, then all the better that it be endorsed and spurred on even as Argentina and others are exempt from his open borders commandment.
