We come before you boldly as is written - at a time where wars and conflicts continue to erupt more and more on the world stage. You said it would be so and yet this recent attack against Israel has alarmed everyone for obvious reasons...... So with this we pray now for the nation Israel and it's leaders as they meet and determine their responses to this siege they are under....
Lord grant their leadership your wisdom and understanding regarding the steps they will take as well as those they will not. Grant them fearless courage to make tough decisions even if the world leaders might object in this that they face.
...We pray for those especially taken mercilessly hostage in such a brutal way - give them hearts to seek you and trust you when it is so difficult to do so as they face uncertainty if they will live or die at the hands of those monsters who have no regard for life. Protect them and shelter them as only you can do - confound and perplex those who would harm them or abuse them.....until they can be rescued.
We commit this war and all those involved to you Lord to undo and make things right once more where that is possible. ...and smash those who would perpetuate this war on your terms not theirs.
When all is said and done may your purposes and will be accomplished and in it may many come to know you as Lord and Savior - both inside this war and those watching.
