Every guy needs a mom like I had. I know she loved me dearly, and would surely go momma bear on anyone that tried to hurt her babies. But she didn’t tolerate ungodly behavior from her kids AT ALL!
When this farmboy turned 16, and was then able to drive into town, she sat me down and gave me a ‘locked on’ stare, and proceeded to tell me what to watch out for, to think about my future, and NOT to take advantage of a girl. She said that if she ever found out I took advantage of some girl, she would slap me HARD!
The woman that I married over 45 years ago was simply not going to give up her virginity until she was married to the man she loved. She was wise to the smooth talkers, knowing that guys will say everything a girl wants to hear.
Our waiting was a test of character, which we both passed, thank the Lord.
That’s awesome…Would to God more could experience that! There is such a blasé acceptance of fornication among parents these days, not Momma sitting across a table and laying God’s truth out for their kids. Praise God He is willing to pick up the pieces and mend broken people! It would be better if they could avert damage early on.
