ENOCH, TAKEN BY GOD

GENESIS 6:
When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah. And after he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters. Altogether, Enoch lived 365 years. Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.

ELIJAH, CHARIOT-RIDER

2 KINGS 2:
Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?”

“Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied.

“You have asked a difficult thing,” Elijah said, “yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours—otherwise not.”

As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more.

I do love to sing with my church
make a loud and joyful noise unto the Lord

Forty years ago I sang in the choir as a tenor. It was a blessing.

too fun, to have been in the choir and have extra singing time

our church is too small to have a separate choir
although some of the members have amazing voices
we do have special music at Christmas
otherwise we all sing loud and happy!
