The 'Lost Ten Tribes', aka 'Gentiles'..................

All twelve in this instance, I think: “lost” in their lost connection to God.

The other two tribes were ‘lost’ in the sense that their ‘religion’ had become a hindrance rather than a boon to their lives. Jesus called them a ‘brood of vipers’............
My argument is that Jesus would not have said He was sent only to ten of Israel’s twelve tribes.
Yes, but you also have to remember that God’s promise to Abraham was that his descendants would be innumerable like the stars in the sky or the grains of sand in the sea.
Jesus time was about 2000 years after Abraham, so his descendants would have been scattered among the Gentiles and would have been Gentiles themselves as far as the Judean religious powers were concerned, just as they disdained the Samaritans of their own time.
We tend to forget the ‘other’ descendants of Abraham that he ‘sent away’ to the ‘east’, his concubines and their children are just as much heirs of Abraham as are the Children of Israel (The Jews) and Ishmael (The Arabs). My guess is they are now the nation of India................

I've never understood God's meaning as merely Abraham's physical offspring; rather, Abraham believed God and so became God's faith-exemplar, and all who believe subsequently are his spiritual descendants.
Thank you, Dan. Some very beautiful paintings to depict these events of great faith, courage, determination. How very poignant that he addresses the woman who bled for 12 years “Daughter your faith has healed you”.

Faith is the thing, the gift of our loving God.
True, either way you look at it, it is the same.
Abraham’s physical descendants are innumerable and well as the spiritual ones!
God fulfilled his promise a thousand fold and then some!
It was Abraham’s child-like faith and obedience that earned him this magnificent place in history...............
She was singled out as a dog.
The Centurion was not,but commended for his Faith in the healing of His child.
Was it a test of Faith?
