For many, the God of the Bible is dead, as the title page of Time Magazine said way back in 1966: “God is Dead.” Ridgley’s conclusions also challenge the church in its attempt to interact through cultural apologetics. How do we address—with the gospel—a culture that has lost its view of classic morals? We are in the situation of early Christianity, surrounded by pagan Rome, where citizens do not know the God of the Bible.

If anyone wants to be removed from this list or would like to be added, let me know
Modernity defines itself as being free from the constraints of traditional religion.
Or by the shorthand that they can do as they want because “God is dead”.
What happens when almost no-one can remember what the traditional religion was. If you define yourself by what you are against, but you can’t remember what the “against” was.
So we are approaching the day when younger people are brought up with no religious background, and they are going to wonder: “Who was this God, and why was it important that he died?”
Modernity ends when too few people can remember what it was before Modernity.
Modernity gave birth to unfettered barbarians, then the daughters devoured the mother.
“Wokism” is just an element of the Left’s state-sponsored religion.
Jesus said we would be hated because of Him. We must put on our armor.
Jesus said we would be hated because of Him.

I learned about the gospel at 12.
I believed but hesitated to repent and ask Jesus into my life cuz of that very part of Scripture.
I believed it and took it seriously.
It wasn’t until I was willing to pay the price that I knew could , and would, come at any moment after I was born again.
I’ve never regretted the choice, and I look around and see our country is turnung into one giant Colosseum .
I may just end up paying that price.
Too bad too few have understood just how good the good news of the gospel is.
Life, eternal life , instead of the forever death the world offers.
Maranatha.
Luke 21:28.
I believe there’s no doubt we are chiming to the end of the church age. It’s so important now more than ever to be ready for Lord Jesus to come snatch His own away.
Amen!
That’s right, I’m sad to say.
Romans 1:25 was the original Christian apologetic. It doubtless must be ours. It describes two views of existence. Either you worship creation as divine, or you worship God as the divine Creator of everything. They exchanged the truth about God for the lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
“Worship” and “service” of God is only truly possible when we meet the gospel concerning God’s Son. The message of the Christian faith, unlike Wokism, is not moralism but undeserved grace. The only truly moral human being was crucified to remove our sins by his atoning death on the cross. In the woke utopia there is no love. In Jesus we meet the love of God for sinners.
That is a most excellent article. THANK YOU.
I believe there is a tidal wave of God's kingdom about to hit.
wokeism just another name for social justice.
Amen! We definitely will need the whole armor on during these last days. These so-called “leaders” who are running the country and their enforcers are becoming more villainous with each day. It can’t be long before they let loose the reigns upon those who are opposed to these immoral ways.
