We know he didn't do time in purgatory 'cause it hadn't been invented yet. Had Limbo been invented yet? My mom told me she thought my dad would go to Limbo. My question would be, if they uninvented Limbo, what happened to all the folks who went there in the first place?

From the church that never changes, Limbo has virtually disappeared from the scene.
But they’ll never admit it’s changed. They relabel and repackage it as *development of doctrine* and claim that they weren’t wrong before, but they are now more right than they were before.
