Just a splendid presentation of the work of a great artist. Many thanks, Dan.
Shane Jenkins did the great job of collecting and organizing.
Those paintings are just beautiful.
Tissot worked hardest, I suggest, at bringing to us viewpoints we don’t see from other artists. He thought through scriptural scenes delightfully.
See what I mean?!

"I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news."
That's one of the funniest accounts in the NT, because I mean seriously, the entire nation came from a couple who was too old for that. Busted!
No wonder Zacharias was left... speechless. If Gabriel had a challenge, it was in trying to keep a straight face.
Folks can't ever be too prepared!
Jus' keepin' it real..
Do you suppose Z had already done the deed, or was he about to?
Maybe he ended up like Steve Martin's character in Father of the Bride II.
As the comfortable family unit starts to unravel in his mind, a rapid progression into mid-life crisis is in his future. His journey to regain his youth acts as a catalyst for a kind of "rebirth" of his attitude on life when he and his wife, Nina, find how their lives are about to change as well. [IMDB]
When an aged couple learns they are to give birth miraculously, they must face the reality of two decades raising their miracle. They need to seek God’s help there, too.
Hello Dan, and greetings to everyone.
Many of these I’ve never seen, and so many are stunning. It’s good to see a few you’ve posted before; hard to forget them.
A great series Dan; thank you for posting!
Just getting started, Leon. It’s a Jesus Retrospective.
Hi etabeta and Dan, or anyone with knowledge would be welcome:
On this forum we’ve spoken to buying a new laptop.
Could you advise me on your favorite to consider? Probably something of medium price, as powerful as possible.
And are you using Windows 11? Thank you.
Leon, I needed a new laptop last fall, on a limited budget. I’ve always used PCs, and I’ve been satisfied with previous purchases from Dell. So I bought a basic 15” Inspiron with Win11, 218GB storage and 8GB RAM for $420. With MS Office and tax it came to $650.
I couldn’t be happier with it. Super fast and reliable (barring an early problem with the network adaptor driver, now resolved).
I remember when you got it Dan. I’m glad its working well for you, and the price is reasonable. How do you like Windows 11?
Thanks for the information.
I don’t know much about computer, what my son’s IT man brought reads HP ProDesk, a small box that fits on my desk. I am very pleased with it and have Windows 11. Don’t know the cost as it was a gift from my son.
Win11 is fine—no problems so far.
Thank you etabeta; I’m looking that up now...

RE: HP ProDesk
Wow etabeta, that’s quite unique. I’ve never seen one...
(I need to get out more =:^)
