I want to say that “to throw a monkey wrench” is NOT a racist idiom.
(Idiom: A speech form or an expression of a given language that is peculiar to itself grammatically or cannot be understood from the individual meanings of its elements, as in keep tabs on.
So get off my back! (idiom) or idiot, if the shoe fits.
Increasing the GOP black vote is doomed as a strategy, for many reasons.
Too bad the GOP is terrified of increasing its share of the white vote - much easier, much higher rewards at the polls, virtual guarantee of solid majorities for years.
Not in the interests of the “donor community”, though.
