Moses had two occasions of striking
the Rock as I’ve discovered.

Interesting depictions.

Yes--the second time he should have spoken to the rock. Paul informs us "that rock was Christ" (1Cor10:4), and Christ is only to be struck (killed) once; the second time Moses was to speak (pray) to Christ.

Bold lines, vivid colors, a blend of Chinese art and traditional western painting technique. His paintings remind us of the stained glass windows of medieval churches. Fascinating artist.

Yep- love his style- so vibrant and full of joy even though all the subjects are expressionless. The color just makes up for the ,ack of emotion or expression bigly. They are brilliantly done as a result.

Hello Dan, and greetings to all.

HE QI is one of my favorites; bright and vivid, and full of life. If you read the artist’s philosophy, you can certainly understand his need to paint from his ‘perspective.’

I was a little surprised that so many like his work, since his style is so different from ‘western art’ and from what we usually see in the gallery.

Thank You Very Much Dan, for an entirely different style. It’s good to study something so unique.

By the way, I have yet to come across anything overtly biblical by Picasso.

I've had a couple of viewers object to He Qi's art distracting them from the other works.

I just offer them a full refund, and that seems to resolve things.
