Charismatic Kingpin Dr. Michael Brown, host of ‘The Line of Fire,’ revealed in a recent episode of his show that for nearly a decade, he’s been interacting “very intensely” with North Point Community Church Senior Pastor Andy Stanley on whether or not homosexuality is a sin.
Brown claims that after exchanging “endless texts and emails” and despite Stanley being “fully accessible” to him, as far back as 2015, he has steadfastly refused to give Brown a simple answer, lending Brown to surmise that Stanley is indeed gay-affirming.
We’ve been covering this extensively over the last two weeks, revealing that not only is Stanley gay-affirming according to multiple testimonies from his pastors and leaders, but that multiple pastors and leaders within his church are gay-affirming, and that the church is hosting along with pro-LGBTQ+ conferences and family ministries, as well as recommending LGBTQ+ resources to families.
Brown is asked by a caller to comment on “the recent controversy surrounding Andy Stanley and his seeming drift on the issue of homosexuality…” and Brown replies:
Alright, so first, Andy Stanley. We have interacted very intensively on this. I have gone back and forth with him with endless texts and emails.
He made himself fully accessible to me eight years ago, when I wrote an article with some open questions for him and he jokingly said, ‘why didn’t you send it to me first?’ Like oh, I didn’t know you were that accessible. He gave me his phone number and email. So we’ve been in regular contact.
But for eight years, literally since 2015, he has not been willing to give me a simple answer on ‘would you agree that according to the Bible, homosexual practice is always sinful, and no matter how loving, same-sex relationships are not blessed in his sight?’
For eight years, including me pressing him every way I knew how to press him (recently?) he has refused to answer that question.
And I’ve told him ‘I just got to believe all the bad reports then, all the bad stuff I’m hearing. I got to believe it’s true.”
I’m guessing that Stanley has some secrets.
I’m guess by the amount of stories on him I’m finding he has a LOT OF SECRETS
Andy Stanley fell into the very trap that his father refused. The laity in a church often exert a lot of influence on a minister to fill the pews by diluting the Biblical message.
Charles refused to dilute the message of the Bible and Holy Spirit.
Andy has no problem with it. Andy's pews are full of itching ears and his pockets are full of money.
I never condemned homosexuality. God did.
Dr. Brown is worth a listen. Look him up.
That’s one thing I love about you guys. If I don’t know who these people are someone here always does and had the 411 on them. Thanks.
I have no idea who Brown or Stanley are, but what I find interesting is that they are even had all these conversation. The vast majority of the time that Judaism and Christianity has existed there was no question that homosexuality was a sin. How is it only in the last thirty to forty years that so many in the clergy even question this? It is as if a known truth for millennia can be put on the shelf. If that’s the case, why not throw away all wisdom of religion. There’s really no reason to read the Bible, it’s just filled with arbitrary and untested things that have nothing to do with living a good life leading to salvation. (Dripping sarcasm)
“he has steadfastly refused to give Brown a simple answer, lending Brown to surmise that Stanley is indeed gay-affirming”
Well, duh. Anyone who doesn’t just say “yes, the Bible condemns it” is playing games and just doesn’t want to come out and tell you that they stand against the word of God.
I’m still trying to figure out who Stanley is. Something about his dad possibly being a preacher as well but I’m not sure.
“How is it only in the last thirty to forty years that so many in the clergy even question this?”
Isn’t it amazing? This is the exact period of time when the world discovered that they approve of homosexuality. Just by coincidence, I’m sure, at the same time many “Christians” have decided to question the Bible’s wisdom on the subject.
After someone mentioned his father’s name, I recognized that his father was a televangelist.
You can give a Bible to a pastor, but you can’t make him read.
Funny, as I grow older the Bible’s wisdom becomes clearer. It’s not the opposite way around. Combine growing older, having more life experience, and the repetition of Bible study it seems the greater wisdom unfolds. I try to explain this to my adult children and it falls on deaf ears. It’s not like they are heathens or anything. It’s more like they have little interest in the value of wisdom. Wisdom allows people to make good decisions and having a book full of it avoids spending a lifetime of making bad decisions to develop wisdom. Literally, the Bible contains man’s accumulated wisdom on every timeless issue. That’s a huge head start for anyone.
Did CHARLES STANLEY ever admonish his son’s non-Biblical stances?
Thanks. That Dr. Charles Stanley.

As to Andy, the son, has he read up on Sodom and that other place? Apparently God didn’t look kindly on the activities going on.
It’s obvious and has been for some time that Andy Stanley has a worldview that incorporates homosexuality and the sexual relations that arise as a result belong within the Christian religion.
Why post it like breaking news?
Andy Stanley is his father’s son. Charles Stanley’s false doctrine has led his son to this logical conclusion. Charles Stanley’s extreme unconditional Eternal Security is exactly the opposite of what Jesus Christ and his Apostles preached. They warned us to continue “abiding in the vine”. Charles said nothing can ever cause you to “not abide”. Andy Stanley’s sodomite Christianity merely living his father’s doctrine
Dr Michael Brown is in Charlotte, NC. He is a messianic Jew and a foremost authority on ancient Semitic languages. He has a show called Line of Fire. He has been addressing cultural issues for decades, and raised the alarm about the homosexual agenda long before anyone else recognized. Dr Brown is a superb Bible teacher.
