Everyday Is Sunday !!!
So Come Lord Jesus!
Hot diggity......I love that Statement from Rome! She’s spot on!
Show me a text by those who knew Jesus best, that the Sabbath was abolished or changed to the day of the Sun? Sunday worship is worshipping the Sun. Like Easter, it has nothing to do with Christ or Yehovah. I am the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
I know nobody will be changed by my words. Believe the words you like best, it is what people do.
>>>Everyday Is Sunday !!!
So Come Lord Jesus!>>>
Nah, Jesus said to work six days. Only the 7th day is the Sabbath. No lazy people in heaven. Work is good for us and he expects us to work. You guys keep making stuff up. Read the Bible! “Six days shalt thou work”
Almost 3 1/2 years now since the Worship was taken away. I wonder what comes next?
So the authority of the church includes the authority to change the Ten Commandments? yes or no will do. Thank u.
>> Catholics can go to a Saturday evening vigil Mass if this is a problem for them. <<
Not really. If your intent on going on Saturday evening is for a legitimate purpose, fine, you can go on Saturday evening. (According to the bible, a holy day begins at sundown, not at midnight.) But if your intent is to fulfill the letter of the law in a manner that opposes the spirit of the law by obeying the Church’s authority while denying that very authority, you’ve got a problem.
> your day of rest/worship is still 7 days after the last one <
There it is. Work six days, rest (and honor) one day.
It certainly would be nice if all of Christendom could spiritually gather on the exact same day of the week. But I cannot see (biblically) why that would be required. And besides that, it’s not even practical. For it would mean no police protection, no hospital staff, etc. on that day.
Your opinion of the truth.
Besides, that does not negate the obvious glee with which you are gloating over showing the Prots up.
Purposely posting something to pot stir and then expressing such delight in the fallout is sowing discord.
If you think someone is in the wrong about something, Jesus tells us how to go about addressing it and it’s not by gloating over the fallout of an article someone posts online. You need to read Matthew 18 and consider obeying it.
What do your table of contents say is the Canon of Scripture. When if you have a Table of contents, was that table of contents put together?
>> This is the Church’s understanding of Hanukkah - it foretold the 8th day worship. <<
Not the only understanding. The final day of Hanukkah is the Feast of the Dedication of the New Temple, on the 25th of the month most closely associated with December, which Jesus uses to proclaim that he is the New, New Temple, made flesh. In other words, it’s his birthday.
She crushes it with this one!!
Quote:
Examining the New Testament from cover to cover, critically, we find the Sabbath referred to sixty-one times. We find, too, that the Saviour invariably selected the Sabbath (Saturday) to teach in the synagogues and work miracles. The four Gospels refer to the Sabbath (Saturday) fifty-one times.
In one instance the Redeemer refers to Himself as “the Lord of the Sabbath,” as mentioned by Matthew and Luke, but during the whole record of His life, whilst invariably keeping and utilizing the day (Saturday). He never once hinted at a desire to change it. His apostles and personal friends afford to us a striking instance of their scrupulous observance of it after His death, and, whilst His body was yet in the tomb, Luke (23:56) informs us: “And they returned and prepared spices and ointments and rested on the Sabbath day according to the commandment.” “But on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came, bringing the spices they had prepared Good Friday evening, because the Sabbath drew near.” Verse 54. This action on the part of the personal friends of the Saviour, proves beyond contradiction that after His death they kept “holy” the Saturday and regarded the Sunday as any other day of the week. Can anything, therefore, be more conclusive than that the apostles and the holy women never knew any Sabbath but Saturday, up to the day of Christ’s death?
The early church was worshipping on the first day of the week and the Acts 15 council did not mention the sabbath as something to keep:
Acts 15:20 - But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
Dang......she’s proving that sunday keeping Protestants are really not protestants at all. They aren’t following the Bible......they are following her! She’s crushing it! More quotes to come.
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Funny how people who are so big on law keeping only worship on one day of the week for an hour or two, instead of all the time.
>>>The early church was worshipping on the first day of the week and the Acts 15 council did not mention the sabbath as something to keep:>>>>
Except you cannot produce a single text showing the apostolic church worshipping on Sunday, Not a single text. You are making up something. In fact, in Acts we read Paul in preaching to the gentiles, said to come out NEXT SABBATH TO HEAR MORE!
“Legalistic law keeping is not the way to earn His favor.”
“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” -John 14:15
>>>Funny how people who are so big on law keeping only worship on one day of the week for an hour or two, instead of all the time.>>>
No, what’s funny is people who aren’t big on the Sabbath law, are big on every other law like abortion and stuff. They play picky choosy with their commandments.
And no where does scripture say to set aside every day for worship. It says to work six days......no lazy people in heaven.
Sunday worship is the mark of the beast.
Since the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2, there is no “Biblically Approved” day of worship.
EVERY day is a day of worship.
A Christian observes the Lord’s Birth, Crucifixion, and Resurrection EVERY DAY, in prayer, in song, in scripture reading. EVERY DAY.
When the believers meet is not a matter of LAW.
That they meet frequently is as close as you can get to a commandment.
