It is both. It is a sick perversion against nature because we would and should know this even without Divine Revelation. The human body was not designed to engage in these type of unnatural and disgusting acts.

But God has also, in no uncertain terms, made it doubly clear in his Word that it is also a sin against heaven and men will receive due eternal penalty for this sin.
