I have seen No. 27 (the Holman Hunt) in person, in St. Paul's Cathedral, London.

This is the third version -- which Hunt painted because the original was kept in Keble College and the college was charging admission to see it! No. 27 is the 2nd version, which is at the Manchester City Art Gallery.

I knew S.H. Sime from his illustrations of Lord Dunsany's fantasy tales . . . but had no idea he had illustrated Revelation.

our Sunday School class has been in the Minor Prophets for over three years

it took our small ladies Bible study group more than two years to get through Genesis (meeting a couple of hours every week)

Twenty-eight years ago, our senior pastor started a small group home Bible study on Saturday mornings which never had more than seven men. Over the next two or three years everyone stopped attending except Joe and me.

We have continued ever since and have become best friends. Joe is my closest friend besides my wife. In my view, God brought Cheryl and me together, and Joe and me, too. And he has ten billion more ahead of you and me in heaven.

God can do that. It may be that something similarly wonderful will happen in your small ladies group.

For years I have wanted to make a post about the 7 churches of Revelation. Thank you, OP, lovely artworks.

All of the 7 churches were located in the area we now call eastern Turkey. Get a map, place a dot for each church and be sure to do this in the order given in Revelation. Next connect the dots in order from Ephesus to the last at Laodicea like you are drawing a road; from Laodicea draw a straight line to Jerusalem. You will have drawn a hook, like a fish hook or a shepherd’s hook... If the Black Sea is a mouth, then Turkey is a jaw:
