Fourth Century Christians experienced much worse than we do today. We still have the ability to read the scripture and attend services of our choice. No one (yet) is being hauled into the arena to fight lions are gladiators for their beliefs. The ability still exists to relocate to a rural predominantly Christian community in a red state.

However, given the rapid erosion of civilization, and the the rapid advance of technology employed oppressively by government and non-believers, the war on Christianity and practicing Christians is likely to be much more intense, and overt, over the next decade than it has been in the last decade.

In terms of active persecution, yes.

In light of the corruption and moral degradation, I doubt it.

Two-edged, yes you might be going to a safer area (haven) but what is missing is the opportunity to spread the gospel to the lost, not to say they don’t exist in red states. We have free-will but as a believer in Christ. Our decisions are guided by the Holy Spirit to do GOD’s bidding, and we can’t waste it for the end of days is fast approaching and you might be the one person’s hope of finding salvation in Christ.

I will admit I am guilty of talking the gospel to others as much as I probably should (work in progress). Public speaking is not my strong point.
