Just can't help smiling at all the German and Flemish painters adopting the convention of just showing Christ's feet vanishing upwards.
Surprised at Constable - primarily a landscape painter.
But some beautiful work here!

Wow, these are great.
I was immediately attracted to the simplicity and serenity of #67, which depicts the Spirit (dove: "Jonah", "Columbia"), but then when I rolled along to #99.
It was like a blast of 1969 in loud, living color. I'd never scene a robe like that for Christ. Lorenzo was 500+ years ahead of his time! It's too much.
That's one small step for man,
one giant leap for mankind.
